Foods That Relieve Bloating

asparagus
While eating the right foods should leave you feeling great after a meal, many foods can leave you feeling bloated and uncomfortable. If you frequently feel bloated after eating, take a look at this list of foods that relieve bloating. It should be able to help you to make the right food choices for you.

Pineapple

Sweet and juicy pineapple contains a digestive enzyme that will help your body to do away with stomach bloat. It can also help to settle your stomach or relieve heartburn. Because pineapple is so sweet, it can even be used to fight off cravings for less healthy food choices.

Blueberries

Because blueberries are such a good source of fiber, they can help your body to move things through your intestines more easily, which will get rid of bloat. Blueberries are light and low and calories, and the antioxidant protection they provide will leave you feeling healthier.

Black Pepper

Adding a little bit of freshly ground black pepper to your meal is the perfect way to fight off bloating. In addition to adding flavor to your food, black pepper is another food that will naturally aid your body in digestion.

Celery

Extremely low calorie celery is a great way to help flush out your system. Since celery is so light, it's easy to eat after finishing a meal, and it is an excellent food choice if you're hoping to get rid of water weight.

Papaya

Papaya contains something called papain, which helps your body to digest proteins. It'll also help you to break down food quickly, helping you to get rid of your bloat in no time flat.

Asparagus

Healthy asparagus is a great way to keep your colon functioning perfectly, and your stomach feeling bloat free. Asparagus contains substances that work to fight off any bacteria in your intestines so that you can digest the food that you eat perfectly.

Tea

Drinking tea is a time tested method of settling your stomach and relieving bloat. Both ginger tea and peppermint tea are especially effective, but many kinds of tea will do the trick. Be sure not to add too much milk to your tea, as dairy products can cause bloating.

Interesting, I didn't know the black pepper.. This is something I've been focusing on a lot lately. I just did a post, "I Made My Kids Eat Their Sunscreen".

With school about to start back, I'd love to hear your thoughts on boosting immune systems to fight colds and flu!

So glad to find you on here. I'll definitely be back!
