Foods to Eat For Healthy Hair

Hair health isn't as serious an ailment as many of the things featured on this blog, but it's still highly sought after. Healthy hair and skin help to make you look as healthy as you feel inside. There are many foods that will boost hair health. Here are some suggestions of foods to eat for healthy hair.

Spinach

Leafy greens like spinach are chock full of vitamins A and C, which are a great way to naturally improve your hair's health. They're what your body uses to produce sebum, a hair follicle secretion that will work to condition your mane. Spinach is also a great source of calcium and vitamin K.

Walnuts

Not only will walnuts nourish your hair with the omega-3 fatty acids they contain, but they'll also provide it with plenty of zinc. Zinc deficiency has been shown to lead to hair shedding, which means that you should get plenty of it if you ant your hair to stay healthy.

Carrots

A food as full in vitamin A as a carrot is is the perfect way to get healthier hair. They're a particularly great way to add additional shine. Carrots also contain many other great nutrients, such as vitamin C, vitamin K, fiber and potassium.

Beans

Protein rich beans help your hair to grow more quickly so that you can cut off dry and damaged ends without fear. Kidney beans are a particularly good choice. In addition to protein, kidney beans also have molybdenum, iron, fiber and manganese.

Whole Wheat Breads

Whole wheat breads are full of nutrients that boost your hair health, such as zinc, iron, and vitamin B. The healthy carbs it contains help to keep energy levels high, and it contains plenty of other great stuff like fiber, magnesium and manganese. Choose one with plenty of different kinds of grains.

Yogurt

Snacking on a low fat yogurt will provide your body with plenty of calcium, which promotes hair growth. Yogurt also contains another growth promoting nutrient, protein. The combination of the two should significantly increase your hair health and growth rate. Yogurt is also a great way to stay healthy thanks to the healthy bacteria that in contains.
